True. There is no way to be 100% safe in any location, nor any situation. Life has a risk to it, and I am OK with that. I do what I can to mitigate the risks, and that is all I can do. I try to avoid cities, and states that force me, a law abiding citizen, to be disarmed as I am automatically at a disadvantage. The criminal are armed ILLEGALLY. By definition, they don't follow laws, only people like me follow the laws.
Ask the thousands of murderers in Chicago if the strict gun laws stopped them from murdering over turf, drugs, money, or status.
May I ask an honest question? Why do all conservative gun owners assume that the person they are talking to doesn't own guns?
Let me fix that for you. "Do not go into certain parts of Chicago if you are a Black male". Everyone else is going to be safe. If you walked down the street in the inner city ghetto everyone would assume you were a cop and run the other way.
Since the rally and other protesters have dispersed for the most part I am less worried now. I do not want to be around a hotbed of tension. Not my idea of a fun vacation.
The chances of being shot are thousands of times greater in a bad neighborhood, than in any Walmart, or McDonalds parking lot.

As long as you stay of of the bad neighborhoods, and don't sell/buy drugs, your chances of being shot are almost nil.
Really? A classroom full of second graders was in a good neighborhood and 9 churchgoers in Charleston were in a house of worship, not on the streets selling drugs. Do people mind when 80 people are shot in a movie theater? Do they mind when a black teenager is killed because someone didn`t like the way she was driving?
