Of course you know this is authentic because ...?

"Authorities were on high alert as thousands of people lined up in the triple-digit heat to attend Trump's first political rally since the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. Protesters filled the streets of downtown Phoenix and engaged in shouting matches and a few minor scuffles with Trump supporters, but those events were generally peaceful."

Well, there's this from July 2015, when Trump claimed 15,000 people attended (a lie he likes to recycle, apparently):

Quote:
The Phoenix Fire Department later said capacity for the event space was 4,200 people and that 4,169 people attended.
Same room in 2017, so whatever the number it was, it was NOT 15k.

Here's a link to the source, but it's been widely reported that the room is not capable of holding the numbers that Trump claims. I doubt it's fake news since 1. the number can be easily verified by searching public records, and 2. the Fire Chief has not come out and said he was mis-quoted.

Republicans always have smaller rallies because a larger share of their voters work full time whereas Democrats have more of a base in college student and jobless poor populations, people who have the time to attend rallies. GOP supporters show up where it counts: in the voting booth on election day.

Such a load of crap. Trump does have one advantage though, much of his base is off work during different hours. Walmart needs greeters all day and night, so many of his base can schedule their shifts around his hate-rallies.
