Too many people have accepted the normality of mass slaughter as a necessary sacrifice to an amendment written when guns held 1 bullet.

Worked for Australia, can work here too.
the shooter modified his weapons for full auto fire, so you cant stop that.

some interesting stats and graphs regarding gun violence in America vs other places.

IMO we need stricter gun laws. What we have right now isn't working and the amount of gun deaths is staggering.
And what is the gun murder rate in Mexico?

and how many of these rampage killings were gang members shooting each other?

how many of these people are mentally defective that slipped through the system?

how many of these people could have been stopped early in their rampage if law abiding citizens had a firearm and the courage to use it?

when something like the las vegas shooting happens, the first thing people jump on is guns, and some demand more gun control. the person that did the shooting was known to police, so why was he not looked at a little more carefully? why was it possible for him to ship more than 500 rounds of ammunition to the hotel? why was he able to ship ten rifles, THAT HE MODIFIED for automatic fire to the hotel? apparently this is the kind of person that should have rang alarm bells when he checked into the hotel.

Who is Stephen Paddock, Las Vegas shooter?

so how was this guy, a convicted felon, able to get a hold of several firearms not to mention all the ammunition?
and dont give me the garbage of not tough enough background checks, as if he went to a legit source to buy these guns, he would have been pegged immediately and refused the ability to purchase a firearm.

WHERE is it said he's a convicted felon?

I think the real issue is how people are raised. The USA in general endorses treating their young like prisoners more than most other developed countries. People are raised that might makes right.

Cultivate that mentality, and don't be surprised if people grow up to be more violent here, or if they are unable to act right without having to be forced. It's what they're used to.
But they don't have any bullets. All ammunition is stored in armories. One has to make a special trip to get it.

Which is why barricades are being put up at large events to prevent these type of mass killings.

Civilians need vehicles, we don't need weapons of mass murder. Something can be done.

we have way too many guns in America. Our obsession with guns is real and we need to have an honest discussion about it.

I mean, it's going to happen again. It's been happening for a while and will continue so the "we need to deal with everything BUT guns" isn't a good argument IMO.

We are a smart nation, well.. we used to be. I think we can do more than one thing at a time to try and minimize mass shootings and minimize gun violence.

I don't know, but you can tell us if you want to.

I would like to think we were more advanced than Mexico.
