Trump basically always responds to critics. That is one of his core values. He has stayed true to himself as president.
What people are truly mad about is that his response is persuasive, not that he responds. Michael Moore isn't popular with the type of voters that swing elections so making fun of him is a good thing for Trump to do.

The country is always divided so that is just empty rhetoric. Obama didn't do anything to unite the country.
Most people either don't like Michael Moore or don't care about him, so the idea that the country has been divided over Trump's tweet about Moore doesn't make any sense.

You have a point. I for one didn't expect the unraveling of the Republic to be entertaining, but I find myself fascinated. Say what you want about a toddler with a shotgun, but he does have the undivided attention of the room.

So Obama derided them in the way Trump derides others? E.g., Corker, Sessions, Ahnuld, Moore, Cruz, Rubio, to name only a few. It is a very long list.

I don't think any liberal really had a problem with Trump going after Cruz, Rubio and other conservatives. I see liberals pretending to love Romney now but 4 years ago BIden was telling a black audience that Romney wanted to put them in chains and Obama's campaign demonized him like crazy. Trump's never accused Romney of being a racist or heartless evil person.
Well, if he was, in fact, aware which is doubtful, he seemed to be making it very low priority after the Broadway show. Why wouldn't he have commented on something more important?
