Sickening, poor young man.

A Nevada father shot and killed his 14-year-old son because he couldn’t accept his son's sexual orientation, according to the son's former foster mom.

On Thursday afternoon, 53-year-old Wendell Melton shot his son, Giovanni Melton, in the apartment where Giovanni lived alone. According to Sonja Jones, Giovanni’s former foster mom, Wendell caught Giovanni with his boyfriend before he pulled out a gun.

I've never understood how anyone could kill their own child, any child for that matter

The POS father never loved his son to begin with. A father's job is to protect his children at all costs, even if it means sacrificing your own life to save your child. Gay or straight my life for my child.

I have a teen-aged family member (still a minor) who doesn't have a father (re how she came into the family), and I feel the same way ^^^^^ about her life. I love her like a daughter, and her life is the most precious life in the world to me.

Great. How does an occurrence such as this help anyone? Of course, the man is not playing with a full deck....so now there is a dead, innocent child and a guy having altered his own life, due to learned misconceptions that he has likely passed onto others (and probably not the first time reacting to others over this). When the hell is this sort of mentality going to end?
