Why am I worried about it? Moore was insanely unqualified for any public office before this incident. This is just further proof he's a morally depraved extremist who needs to stay far far away from any other public position for the rest of his miserable life.
I don't want anyone in the Senate who opposes the 1st Amendment, wants gays imprisoned, and supports creating a theocracy.
I hope you see the deeper issue. That is we live in a banana Republic and they are trying to overturn an election. Doesn't that concern you at all?

No, I'm more concerned that a man like Moore can even get elected as a US Senator when he has blatantly admitted he will not follow the Constitution, and has already violated it multiple times in his other roles.
It should not be legal for just anyone to be elected to public office. If you're in violation of the Constitution, you should be disqualified from even running.
I get also that your want the GOP to hold on to the seat.
I said a couple days ago I felt more women would come forward but I expected it closer to election day. Moore is damaged goods. Best case scenario is this woman is the last one and Moore limps along to a close election day finish. Best case.
I suspect more women will come forward and Moore will lose by 10 points or so.
He needs to step down, postpone the election get strange on the ballot and then hold the election. If you want a guarantee for a GOP win that is what has to happen.
It's only a witch hunt when people automatically believe accusations without any backing evidence an d demand an immediate punishment for the accused.
Those with a touch more than reading the book in sixth grade will recall there was a "political" situation in Salem between two groups.
My goal isn't a GOP victory in Alabama. If that were the case, I'd be calling for Mokre to step down and let Steange take his place. I'm no fan of Moore to begin with, but I hate political shenanigans and pronouncing people guilty because of a dislike of them.
As I said earlier, this second accuser (1+1=2 for some of you) is significant.
Beverly Young Nelson alleges Roy Moore, then an attorney in the DA’s office in his 30s, sexually assaulted her when she was 15-16. He tried to coerce her into sex in his car. She cried and yelled and begged him to stop while he grabbed her neck and allegedly forced her head to his genitalia. Other than telling her family members about the assault, she stayed quiet and kept the shame and trauma to herself because Roy Moore told her no one would believe her. She feared him because his political and social clout.
I hope more victims of Roy Moore come forward, whether he stays in the race or not.
For those asking why this is all just coming out now, reporters in Alabama are saying they've been hearing these stories for years, but no one was ever willing to go on the record. Reading some of the disgusting comments on this board, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out why.
The enhanced scrutiny of a national vs a local race and the recently opened floodgates of women finally feeling empowered to come forward in recent weeks explains the timing.
The 5th woman is willing to go before the Senate Judiciary Committee and answer any questions they have about this incident. I don't think anyone who is making this up would be willing to do that. Just saying.
I hope the Senate takes her up on that offer, and I hope some of the other women join in as well.
