If you compared this election to a foot race Jones was racing against someone with one leg in a cast, blind in both eyes and Jones started with a 3/4 track head start and STILL only won by a nose. Huge? Not hardly but it's certainly weird.

Forget the sexual accusations, Moore's prior judicial actions and his statements over the years (along with his wife's btw) should've crippled him and made him toxic but for some reason he made it through the primaries.
As someone who doesn't live and work alongside the people of Alabama I'm in no position to comment on how or why this might have occurred other than to say that this nation as a whole has gotten to a point where bizarre things are going on with our elections...

I utterly agree about Mr. Moore's views concerning the Constitution. Indeed, I wrote in another thread last week that if I lived in Alabama, I would ignore the women's allegations and simply vote against Mr. Moore based on his believed that God's Law, as Mr. Moore interprets it, take precedence over the Constitution.

We have quite a few 'conservative' posters that claim to be madly in love with the Constitution (indeed, at least one has claimed to read it everyday), yet they were all for a man that admitted to ignoring the provisions thereof if he felt that God's Law (again, as per his interpretation) conflicted with said provisions. It is no wonder that Mr. Moore was twice removed from the Alabama Supreme Court, with the legislature going to far as to pass a bill (if I recall right) prohibiting Mr. Moore from ever serving on a court again.

Trump's early morning tweets on the topic are comical:

"The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily),..."

Once again, Commander Insecurity needs to try and switch the focus to him. Does anyone know the poll numbers for Strange before/after Trump's support? Did they go up "mightily"?

"....is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election."

When exactly did he say that? ( and again..... all about him )

"I was right!"

Not hard to pick the winning horse after the race. ( and again..... all about him )

" If last night’s election proved anything, it proved that we need to put up GREAT Republican candidates..."

So he's now saying Moore was a crappy candidate?

If Roy Moore was so adamant that all the allegations against him were false, I wonder if he'd ever agree to a lie-detector test. To be fair, I wouldn't mind seeing if the accusers would agree to one as well.

I'd love to get this overwith, once and for all....

We have no voice. The Overlords pull our strings more and more every day in this country with lies and utter fabrications.

When America dies??...it's all a matter of time now.

When Civil War II commences maybe it corrects a lot of sick and sinister filth that has been rotting this country...
I sure hope you do not have a daughter. Because it's attitudes like yours that will suppress her ability to speak out should she be the victim of sexual abuse. Why on Earth would she risk her job and subject herself to ridicule from people like you? No you want them to go back into the closet and we should just sweep all this behavior under the rug just to save your President's ass. That is nothing short of disgusting.

It is over with. The people of Alabama have shown Roy Moore the door. I highly doubt he can make a come back from this, they need another Republican candidate. And they should have another Republican candidate as that person will share the same views as their constituents. As much as I love getting this seat the people of Alabama really should be represented by a Republican. Just not this Republican.

Creepy? Like Franken? What a freakin' WEIRDO.

And by the way, since we're all talking about the deceit, lies, fabrications and outright THEFT of US Senate seats, this reminds me...

We are getting into "Hillary Clinton orchestrated the Trump Tower meeting with the Russians" level of tin foil hattery here.

If Roy Moore feels so wronged by these accusations, he has always had his recourse in the form of a defamation suit. You can draw your own conclusions as to his belief regarding his likelihood of success (and by implication, the accuracy of the accusations) by its absence.

REPUBLICANS...AREN'T...CONSERVATIVES.

How hard is that for you to understand? Republicans hate the middle-class in America as much as liberals do.

I have no idea what this has to do with me. None. I do not disagree with that. I've said nothing that would ever make anyone think any differently.

It will fade away...just as all other allegations have....This was done to take a person out, nothing more, nothing less. Why did she come out now, with something that can never be proven? What about the subsequent elections? Life long republican or not, she is not taken a beating, she is living her life, working, and moving forward.

The left talks about courage to stand up, and I am not down playing any abuse or anything like that, but for something that can never be proven....oh yea...when I was 14....he did this, cannot prove it....the rest were of legal age, like it or not, and no, I don't like it....

The left shown a long time ago, the truth does not matter, this is why they re-elected harry reid ,back in to the senate....he was caught red handed in a 100% lie, and stated, well romney did not win, did he.....

Does anyone else appreciate the irony of chucksnee accusing others of being "caught red-handed in a 100% lie"? I sure do.
