Maybe it’s time for women to buck up a little and realize men are men. They have their defenses built in by the creator? Why not try that and leave the lawyers out of it?
I tuned into the Today show this morning at 8am to see what they had to say about it.
They did report it. And Laurer's two talking head co-anchors were there falling all over themselves in shock & grief. Makes one wonder how much of that was made up and how much they knew about it too. Sounds like it might have gone on for more than 20 years.
I could see this being at least briefly mentioned in the 'boardroom discussion' before the decision was made:
If he really was sexually harassing women his job shouldn't have been safe all the years it has been.
I've got to say, I am enjoying all the folks who have been happily destroying the lives of other public figures who had a mere wiff of misconduct, whether legitimate or not, get a taste of their own medicine. Bunch of hypocrites.

One thing for sure, there will be some innocent people caught up in this over disgruntled women and a one night stand, they thought was more than that.

Defenses? That would be nice. Sometimes lawyers are the only defense, and believe me I am not about lawyers.
Back in the day, if a subordinate complained about harassment from a superior or someone more important to the company, or someone in good with the boss, the subordinate would be told to deal with it or quit. Or they might be blamed themselves. Or they might just be fired for being a trouble maker.
These are never isolated incidents. Men who do it and get away with it keep doing it and most women have multiple incidents over the years, some mild and some serious. This is ongoing, like a way of life. It's got to stop and it won't be painless.
That was an interesting article. Unfortunately he couldn't be charged and prosecuted for that under US Law if the rape actually happened.
Assault and sexual assault are 2 different things. Did he punch someone, or grab an ass?
