As long as the dems depend on group think politics, identity politics, pit one sect against another and only deal in name calling and emotion, they will not go anywhere.
There is no bigger instance of identity politics than the huge number of white males running things in this country. Yes, there is an identity that is favored and is in charge of just about everything: white males. It's just that it goes unquestioned; it is seen as normal, business as usual. We've grown so used to this aspect of identity politics that most of us don't bat an eyelash when we see entire committees or any other powerful group composed primarily of white males. But it's not natural.

And? So what!

So did the W, Bush tax cuts and it was extended by Obama.

There is NOTING to stop the president at that time do the same.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

You are either an optimist or a pessimist.

When dems are in control YOU are an optimist.

When repubs are in control YOU are a pessimist.
The Bush tax cuts needed to be extended because of the economy, what's the excuse for this addtional tax cut. I dont see 2017 as desperate times, thji swas some great salesmanship that suddenly or compnaies could no longer compete globally.

Americans are highly indoctrinated via the out-of-balance control liberals have.

A perfect example is -- studies showed that 80% of Americans will receive a tax break from this bill.
But liberal fake news was so intense and prevalent ("it's Armageddon!!!, thousands will die!!, only the rich get tax breaks") that only 17% of Americans think most Americans will get a tax break. They think it's only the rich who get a tax break -- none for the middle class or working poor.

Here is where the things you brought out won't count.

When people start to see the economy improving, jobs being created, etc., etc., etc.

History has shown that when the country is doing well economically, people are happy and will support who is in control of the gov't.

Keep in mind, the media has LOWER approval rating then even Congress, so what they say isn't being believed bu most of the people in the country.

With the Internet and the millennials, fewer people are even reading or watching the news.

They have LOST their clout and are becoming insignificant.

Small businesses and organizations, etc, can NOW get group rates.
Don't you think that providing health insurance a huge financial burden to companies and small businesses?

No one needs it, huh? Wrong. You need it .... or shall I say, a well functioning, prosperous economy needs lots of people with lots of money to continue to expand, and grow, creating more and more employment opportunities.

While I’ve never really analyzed things from this angle.... guess I just automatically understood it ... everyone is a customer, and everyone depends on customers for their livelihood .... no matter what profession you’re in. Lawyers need customers .... plumbers need customers .... waitresses need customers .... and guess what? The more money your customers have to spend, the better your financial life will be, PERIOD.

On the one hand, we have the old adage “a high tide raises all shipsâ€, while Natalie thinks that no one needs that much water?

I want everyone to have lots of money .... in fact, in this abundant universe, there is plenty for everyone, and really, you have no right to be poor .... poor people are a burden on everyone else, which is why you have an obligation to yourself, and everyone else to be prosperous!!!

The deficit reflects a spending problem (as in the child credit bonanza--Thanks, Rubio) Allowing people (Thank you, Massa) to keep more of the money they earned is a different issue.

Well at the moment we have a tax short fall, this is more like a $1.5 T loan unless you are one of those supply side believers. You can keep more of money but that wont be true in 2025.

It is LOT better then relying on the fed gov't.

The V.A., Medicare and Medicaid are ALL full of problems.

If the fed can't even do those right which much fewer people, why does anyone think the fed can handle 240 million people.

Health benefits through an employer is a benefit the company believes is worth doing in order to get and keep those employees.

They CHOOSE to do so.

BIG difference.

Good point. The one thing the Democrats are good at , is working together. We can see that the other side can't and seems to be slowly imploding , even though they have the power at the moment.

The good news is that once people are paying less, the DNC's propaganda effort will be proven to be just more of the same old liberal lies.

If the tax reform bill were as devastating as the Democrats claimed, then they would have been cheering its passage. They would not have been doing everything possible to derail it by basically threatening people like Susan Collins and Jeff Flake.

Truth is, the Democrats know that this bill is a huge WIN for the Republicans and for Trump. It will have the exact opposite effect of Obamacare. Obamacare was the gift that kept on giving to Republicans because it kept making people pay more and more for less coverage. Tax reform is the exact opposite -- it will give people real money instead of taking it from them and inflicting new costs.

The Democrats aren't dumb, they know this is a huge win that will pay dividends for the GOP. So we will have to listen to their ongoing propaganda campaign for the foreseeable future. We're all used to their never-ending lies and propaganda, so no big deal really. Whine away libs!
