If the citizens of a town own a statue, and they decide they don't want to display any longer, as a matter of principle, do they, or do they not, have the right to make that decision?
Well, if the statue is owned by the town and the town made the decision, then Yes, of course they have the Right. If they don't want the tourist income, that is their choice.
I didn't say they had no right. I said it was poor judgement. Now all the towns people take an economic hit.
Doesn't effect me. If they want to give away some more $, I bet there are some people with a few ideas.
But that’s how I feel about religion. And I definitely hate that my people were indoctrinated with it. Gave us one hell of a setback.

African Americans who live in those towns shouldn’t be forced to fund the maintenance of pro-slaver statues.
If they can figure out an arrangement like that, then keep the statues up.
I agree that statue should have come down. Maybe when they raised it people didn't know what it was really or times were just different. Maybe he was a great general but considering he was one of the founders of KKK I don't think it have any place in a Memphis public park. Probably a better place would be a museum or something.
He didn't ask if you had better beef. It was about barbecue. And you can barbecue more than just beef. BTW, alot of hunting goes on in Tennessee too. I'm sure alot of cool stuff goes on in Montana. However, I will come out and say it. I think your comment about Memphis has more to do with your anger about the states of Confederate generals coming down.
