Democrats won't accept the LAW of the land because they disagree with it. There are a lot of laws in which I disagree, like Obamacare, but I still follow them. Democrats, get a clue. You are NOT above the law.

Maybe go to a Confederate statue, and meditate instead. Think about the sacrifices others have made for what the believe, instead of whining, and crying like the little girls you are.

The Pub hold on congress will disappear and the Democrats will resume control. When that time comes and the Pubs are wiped out in the blue states, there may be pay back against the red states. However, I don't expect the Democrats to be so petty.

To pit one state against the other just shows the despicable lengths the CONS, and that is what conservative are these days, will go to divide the nation to keep power and to benefit their donors.
The dems have spent over a year trying to undermine a legitimate election. I did not vote for Trump but I do accept the results. So petty? Yes the left is petty. Hillary Clinton wrote the book on petty.

If a middle class person has more than $10,000 a year in state and local taxes to pay they are paying too much. Those blue states should cut their taxes. In fact how about states like California or New York if someone is making less than say $250,000 they get a tax credit for increased taxes caused by the new tax bill. Problem solved.

As far as blue state millionaires and billionaires I thought they were all for raising taxes on the rich? Well I guess their wish has been granted.

It is pathetic to see poor and middle class liberals fighting for tax loopholes that benefit primarily the rich. This is not the kind of fight that will help you in 2018 or 2020.

Here's the objective truth: it is bad for the economy and it is bad for America for federal policy to pick winner states and loser states. If Trump wants a strong economy he can't do it without California's tech sector and New York's financial prowess. The blue states need the the industry, energy, and agriculture from the red states. We are the United States and we should be working together.
Socialism isn't bipartisan. Inform the collective.

I see all this whining about liberals being the ones with money yet I personally don't know any rich liberals. Trump is a Conservative yet it seems from what I'm reading on here he's giving rich liberals tax breaks. Doesn't make any sense.

Exactly.

States with no income tax:

Alaska.
Florida.
Nevada.
South Dakota.
Texas.
Washington.
Wyoming

I've only been to four of these states, but they all have schools and roads. I assume the other three do as well.

Funny how some states can provide public services with no income taxes on their citizens at all.

LMAO, so "pay your fair share" and "tax the rich" have been huge lies from the Left? Who woulda thunk? If this doesn't show that they outright lie to their voters for their votes and nothing more, nothing ever will.

But that is exactly what this tax plan does, regardless of what state you live in you will pay the same federal tax.

Poor Dems aren't particularly bright. They are always supporting politicians that are working against them and their interests.

How, exactly, do you figure that? Under this bill, people in high tax and low tax states pay closer to the same in federal income tax (not the same since you can still deduct $10k in state and local taxes). It means that 2 people with the same income pay the same (or closer to the same) federal income tax. Previously our system was biased and had people in low-tax states subsidising federal income taxes for rich taxpayers in those in high tax states. People in low-tax states were penalized. We finally have some fairness in our tax policy.

Now, don't you think it's time the rich "paid their fair share"?

You and all the liberals are always posting about how the blue states have to carry the red states so isn't a good thing to give the red states some advantages to allow them to catch up?

Here's my thoughts on the new tax changes and they are contradictory:
1) The high tax states haven been buying services that they have been able to write off of their federal income taxes (FIT) giving residents there an advantage. From a fairness perspective, either allow the low tax states residents to purchase the same services and write off the cost or do what this new tax bill does, eliminates that tax free service.
2) It does seem unfair to allow these deductions for decades and people made decisions on where to live and what house to buy based on these write offs and to take them away and not grandfather those that have already made those decisions.
3) Regardless of 1 & 2 above, we needed the tax change mainly to lower the corporate rate.

By the way, there's a difference between a blue state and a high tax state....my state, Washington, is a blue state but low state tax state.
