It doesn't matter if you are a R or D, 80% of Americans agree that those children that were brought here as children should have a path to citizenship.
Think of how those poor people are stressing over the fact they may have to leave the only country they remember by this March.
These people are in our military, they are nurses, teachers and policemen. This is a nightmare!
I want to see the proof that Mexico will eventually pay for the wall.

They left on an optimistic note, with Schumer asking Trump to sell it to his folks. Some hours later, John Kelly called Schumer back and said no deal, it was still too liberal.

If this did in fact transpire in this manner... shouldn't both sides have taken it?

Feels like some hardliners basically blocked what would have been a reasonable compromise.
Trump believed a government shutdown would shut down Mueller.

Didn't.
Trump is the biggest loser .

Visa over stayers have to be addressed in a different way and should be. Why do you think we only need to solve that problem but not the border jumper problem?

Here's some links for you.

Where U.S.-Mexico border fence is tall, it works

https://www.npr.org/templates/story/...toryId=5323928
Your NPR link is vastly outdated (12 years old) and actually shows that walls can lead to people dying. Not exactly a way to support your view...

Your other link is 10 years old.

In the last 10 years the way immigration and illegal immigration occur in this country have changed. Sorry, but your links use information that is over a decade old. It's no longer relevant or valid for a discussion today.

Any links or references to support this allegation?

I didn't think so.

Schumer put border wall funding on the table in exchange for DACA..why did Trump end up rejecting it?

Because Trump had asked for only enough for 1/3 of the wall, $18 billion, a figure he has publicly stated for weeks.

Democrats offered $1.6 billion.

At that rate, the wall wouldn't be finished for 50 years.

Of course Trump rejected it.

Only mystery is, why did Schumer offer such a tiny fraction of what was needed? It was an obvious "up yours, we're not going to let the wall be built" statement.

Clearly Schumer didn't intend to make ANY acceptable offer. Just so he could then go before the cameras and claim "Well, I made an offer, it was Trump who rejected it, not me" ....when in fact, it was him rejecting anything reasonable.

Glassy-eyed liberal fanatics swallowed it hook, line, and sinker, of course.

I imagine Trump rejected the offer because Trump is going to get the border wall money from Mexico.

Information is not valid forever, especially information that changes and fluctuates like immigration data. There is nothing to refute because his information is no longer valid.

And why do people ignore that Bush and Obama already put up a very good set of barriers all along the southern border? I suppose so that Trump can later show them pictures and say that he built it - and his minions will believe him.
California GOT their wall ...... they just don't want anyone else to have a wall.

The only thing that matters to the Democrats is gaining more votes. If President Trump gives them DACA without the wall, he is finished.
