Wouldn't it depend on the rest of what was presented?
And that political hit piece wasn't all fake, parts of it were true. Especially the parts about Carter Page.
But the source of the dossier shows that it was a political hit piece from DNC sources. Many times when a judge senses something out of order with such a request, they will not honor any part of the request. That is as it should be in this case.
If you were a judge and someone brought all this to you for a warrant and you found out that a part of it, no matter how small, was actually a political hit piece that was fake, would you give them the warrant? If you would, please don't ever become a judge.
How do you know the information used in the dossier regarding Page was a hit piece or fake. How do you know what the judge based his approval on, what documentation.
Besides the first warrant was in October 2016 and there were 3 additional 90 day extensions well after Trumps election, so what would be the point.
Keep in mind that the decision of the FISA judges is based on a extensive documentation and a FISA Warrant does not imply guilt but probable cause. There seemed to be plenty of reasons to surveil Page for probable cause.

Someone who's pretty clearly compromised at this point. Whether he knows or not is undetermined, he's not known for his intelligence. He's been on their watchlist since 2013 when he was implicated with a Russian spy ring... He also spent a lot of time in Russia...
He's not the only compromised person trump brought into the campaign.
