You don’t charge blindly into an unknown.

They were securing the area waiting for more officers to arrive.

Really, I don't know where people get the idea that throwing this officer under the bus wasn't political by the democrat sheriff.

Since when do patrol officers first on scene storm a building with a handgun against an armed assailant.

When my relative was armed robbed at work by a gang of black guys, after the guys were gone and there must've been 30 cops outside waiting before entering the building lol. A SWAT/tactile team was staked out to confront them the next time they did a hold up. Oh yeah and the relative started to conceal carry to work.

Absolutely he did not. And perhaps 3 others did not as well. How many times can we fail these kids?

I agree. Which is why when Trump addressed Cpac today bragging about how if a teacher had had a gun at that school - the teacher would have 'shot the hell out of them' appears to be more magical thinking.
You are wrong.

It happened in Pearl High School shooting. The teacher went to his car, got the gun and stopped the shooter.

CNN seeks to create another false narrative that those kids are dead due to the local law enforcement officers.

Take note that they don't cite any source except some unnamed officers.

So you are basically saying that armed guards, who are there for the expressed purpose of thwarting these kinds of things, are useless in preventing or mitigating them. Which is pretty much what many of us have been saying all along.

Trump is just delusional---
But the people cheering him on are worse

Rick Scott wants to be senator--that is what is pushing HIS 180 degree change in his NRA thinking that will now allow only 21+ to buy rifle (which likely won't work because there are lot of hunters in FL that do use rifles or shotguns--not AR15s --for their hunting so that might have difficulty passing

Any politician who is willing to make a modicum of change in his NRA grade to keep his job is likely operating from political expediency than from moral awakening...
If they take NRA money, vote them out!

He didn't say that. But obviously you want to.

There are things we CAN do.
I blame all of them. They didn't do their jobs. The police were warned, the school expelled him because he was dangerous to other students, people told the FBI about him, and then you have these people whose job it is to protect people from POS like Niklaus, or however you spell his name, and just stood there.

Not just one waiting for back up, FOUR OF THEM just stood there doing nothing.

Meanwhile, an off duty policeman from the Coral Springs department heard the gunshots and started helping the wounded....while the 4 who were there, armed, on the job, did nothing.

There are things they CAN do...standing around with your thumb in your mouth is not one of them.

Oh it's coming out alright. That Sheriff is blaming anyone and everyone else, not himself. Everything about this entire incident is a disgusting mess - from the massive warning signs, to the 17 year old reciting scripted words all over the place, to the kid who said CNN would not allow him to say what he wanted to say, to this coming out that the very people who are trained to do something about it stood around for 4 of the 6 minutes of firing.

And people want to blame the NRA and guns. They want to make things harder for legal gun owners "if it just stops one person from being killed".

Too bad these hypocrites don't feel that way about illegal aliens pouring into our country who go on to kill innocent people.
