Lets hope ICE makes an example out of her. She needs to return to mexico and make it batter place .

For the first time in California's history, the state has appointed an undocumented resident to a statewide post, announcing the decision just a day after President Donald Trump attacked its immigration approach during a visit to San Diego.

The decision made by the Senate Rules Committee on Wednesday saw Lizbeth Mateo, a 33-year-old attorney and immigrant rights activist, appointed to serve on a committee that helps increase college access for students from low-income or under-served communities.

Im supposing theres no FEDERAL mandate for e-verify. I wonder if she is on tax payer payroll? It doesn't even make any sense. So an illegal immigrant gets the job before an American. Its just wrong and stupid.

While I do not agree about an illegal alien holding such a position, I do commend CA for defying the tyrannical Fed govt and refusing to be obedient.

I think far too many people have forgotten, we are NEVER to be obedient or subservient to a tyrannical govt, no matter what!

This woman is 33 years old, a LAWYER, and STILL an "undocumented immigrant?"

She wants to counsel people on the LAWS of this country while flaunting them so brazenly? AND without having figured out how to become a lawful resident or citizen by her 30s? Honestly, I hope ICE DOES arrest here. Literally nobody will care except sympathizers in California.

A "tyrannical government" enforcing what really are pretty fair immigration laws? Laws which have been on the books for decades?

Get over your damned self. You aren't #resisting ****. Your fantasy of you somehow braving and being revolutionaries in some Orwellian nightmare are juvenile.

Tyrannical federal government? lol ... we fought a civil war over states not wanting to follow the constitution and federal laws. They left the union and war broke out..

Its pretty simple. If California wants to change immigration laws, they need to head down washington DC and get them changed the right way.

What's tyrannical about wanting our immigration laws enforced? The Feds aren't asking our states or cities to enforce them but just to share the information with them if they have known illegals in custody. It is against the law to hire illegal aliens also.
