Uh, this is the PERFECT time to be talking to young people about their gun rights and their rights in general as American citizens.

Ever heard the old saying 'Freedom is not free'?!

I also think it would be more effective if we taught our young people their actual rights when it comes to dealing with police and authority, instead of just instructing them to OBEY, they NEED to know when they must obey and if necessary, when they should not, thats extremely important, a lot of people get themselves into trouble because they do not really know what their rights are and how and when to exercise them.

"as defined by the Fourth Circuit Court ruling"

Well whoop-di-do.

"he courts do NOT "define" things.

They are suppose to UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION the way it was written.

"Upheld by SCOTUS,

Beside, lower courts are overruled a LOT by higher courts.

"Upheld by SCOTUS, who refused to review the ruling"

Does NOT mean a new court with more conservatives on it won't overrule it.

"Eric Friday, who represented gun owners in the Florida case, said he thought the court’s Second Amendment supporters were making a strategic decision in refusing to hear the cases, keeping their powder dry for later, when they may have more support on the high court."

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...ns-open-carry/

"The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected those complaints, saying the Second Amendment doesn’t protect military-style gear."

We KNOW that will be overturned considering "military" type gear was used by civilians when th Constitution was written and passed.

People owned the SAME rifles as the military, cannons and even warships.

Really? You think those students, who are still suffering from PTSD, want to hear a lecture about guns? I know some people who were at the Las Vegas concert when the shooter opened fire there. They still jump with sudden noises or movements.

Come on people, these are young people who were severely traumatized. Can't you just keep your right wing gun rants on Fox News and Limbaugh?

Wow you anti (legal) gun nuts really hate freedom, and liberty don't you, because you are always trying to take away the rights of the law abiding. If the thought of a gun makes you wet the bed, then don't buy one, but don't take away the right of others to have them.

We can't have our children being taught BOTH sides of the argument. That's just not how indoctrination works.

OH YES, definitely!! Its the perfect time to ensure they realize why these terrible attacks are being politicized, that their Govt is manipulating public opinion on guns (something that prevents tyranny btw) to their best interest ( a disarmed or much less armed public).

Personally, I had my kids read about the govts MK Ultra project back in the 1970s and 80s. After reading about this, they came to realize whats really going on here. deception is the key word.

Who is taking away anyone's rights? Just because they won't let this guy speak isn't taking away someone's rights!

How about if you wait until the students have graduated from there. Going to that high school to talk guns is like taking the survivors of the Titanic for a boat ride near icebergs.
