Boy, Mueller sure has the cult lighting torches and storming the castle, doesn't he ? I think all of this is funny as Hell. I bet Richard Nixon would have loved to have people who were as delusional as what we are seeing in this investigation. Poor Tricky Dickie was all alone.

I am so proud of Robert Mueller. This is a man who has standards that are normally never seen in people today. Everyone respects him (well, not Trump and his tribe, but that is a whole nuther story). Bob was given the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam, and even though he was badly wounded, he refused to leave the battlefield until EVERY one of the men under him was out safely.

The cult also forgets that he did such a good job during the 9/11 mess that he as asked to stay 2 more years beyond the normal 10 year term, and that was voted unanimously by congress........from people on both sides of the aisle.

Mueller is a man everyone should use as an example of who we are as Americans, not a corrupt, self centered little boy, like Donald Trump.

Being a new American it is astonishing to see how willing folks are to contrive conspiracy theories to protect their allegiance to their party/candidate.

Are we truly saying that a list of Republicans all are in cahoots to get Trump out. Really?

And why would they do that -- most of them -- if not all -- appointed by Trump, why would they work so hard to trash the man?

Two things -- the conspiracy theories are hogwash -- or maybe they are true and all these people know something we don't.

Nixon had pretty high support util the end actually. Even before the hearings were going on before the senate he had a higher approval then trump. Only 31% thought it was a serious matter before the senate hearings were televised. And get this-on the day of his resignation 24% approved of his job as president.

Nope. You are forgetting that he can investigate other crimes, or turn over information for them to be investigated that come up during the course of his investigation.

Trump should have fired him day 1, its WAY way too late now.

You seem to be conveniently forgetting that it was trump, himself, who kept making claims about the election. So, he got what he wanted, an investigation, only it isn't going the way he thought.

Yup. Cox was nowhere as dedicated as his replacement. As importantly, Cox's firing forced Richardson, Nixon's best protection, to resign, and after Richardson was out as Attorney General, the entire affair came tumbling down like a house of cards.

Leon Jaworski, a Texan, was a tougher lawyer and was as able an investigator. as Archibald Cox.

As a young lawyer, Jaworski prosecuted some German POWs who murdered one of their own, and won. The leader of the group was hanged, and the rest went to prison.

In the end, Jaworski got all the evidence Cox requested and much else, and put it to good use.
Nixon simply could not refuse to hand it over after firing Cox. The Senate's investigation committee demanded it.

It was the worst mistake of Nixon's life when he fired Cox. It wrecked his Presidency, his legacy, and his life.

I did not forget that at all. Its something that I find absolutely hilarious to be honest.

Heres another one I heard recently:

Trump:Ask my attorney Michael Cohen
FBI: *raids Cohens office, hotel, and residence*
Trump: Wait...no not that way!

Well all the Republicans in the House got their spines ripped out months ago, so don't expect them to stand up now. They can't.

But the Senate is a different deal, and they have more power to swing at Trump. If they must in order to hold their control of the Senate, they will swing it, I think.

Nver forget that it was the Senate Committee that did Richard Nixon in. Once the Senators took over the investigation, Nixon was doomed.
