It sends a message to Manafort and other Trump crooks facing prison that if they keep their mouths shut, the President will make sure they are rewarded in the end.

This is the mafia playbook, taken to a new level.

Kind of reminds me of Bill Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich. Same thing, different party.

Obama loved felons? Good...now you can throw Trump in that boat.
So here's the highest and most honorable position that can be bestowed upon any person deserving in our country, and that position goes to the likes of Donald J. Trump...

Un friggin believable!

I've got a feeling Trump scans the mug shots on a daily basis looking for scumbags to pardon.

It's that feeling of power--the thing that Trump lives for. Anything he can sign, say or do that make that little man feel big, he will do.

It totally follows Trump’s pattern of sucking up really hard to the extreme wingnuts in his party. And with Bolton in Trump’s inner circle, a Libby pardon was sure to follow.

Thing is, Libby so blatantly obstructed justice that even Dubya couldn’t bring himself to pardon him...and Libby did it to protect Bush in the first place. Bush should’ve been the one to pardon Libby, but Dubya is a Bush, and they have a congenital condition that lends itself to total and utter disloyalty. Cheney and Bush don’t speak to each other til this day over the Libby affair.

Trump buys some right wing points with this one, but it does NOTHING for him politically. It’s nothing more than anti-Bush spite.

Donald is a piece of work.
I disagree. This is Trump "hitting back" at the Democrats over the recent turn in Mueller's investigation. He's a petty, sad sack of **** and this is his only way of trying to get revenge.

LOL, the only person in the entire US that could possibly be worse was Hillary R Clinton.

No that would be Obama. He pardoned 1927 of them, more than the previous 11 Presidents combined.

Obama holds the record for the largest single-day use of the clemency power, granting 330 commutations on January 19, 2017, his last full day in office. He also has issued more commutations than the past thirteen presidents combined.[2][7]
