No religious holiday is a national holiday. Get over it.

Are you joking? Christmas is not only a religious holiday it's also a federal or better known as a national holiday. I can't believe that you made such a false statement. Who said we had a national religion? What bigotry are you speaking of? Do you even know the meaning of the word? Apparently, not! You get over it. No one is forcing anyone to follow the Christian religion or any other religion.

Indeed. Christ doesn't call us to be cowards, He calls us to be fearless.

And yes, that's a bigoted outlook. A bigot is "a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions."

And BTW, by using a generic term like "Happy Holidays", retailers increase their customer base. Or would you suggest they're wrong in doing so?

It's not whining or being self-righteous to speak the truth. There is no other national/federal holiday in December other than Christmas. Retailers are always after the almighty buck even if it means diluting a national/federal holiday to do so and many have been brain washed into the new progressive way of thinking. It's overwhelmingly Christians that are buying gifts in December so Merry Christmas should be the norm but no one is forcing them not to say Happy Holidays either (no matter how stupid it is).

If "they" were afraid to before, that's cowardice. Cowards are neither patriotic nor faithful.

You might want to re-read my post where I said no one is being forced to follow the Christian religion nor are they being forced to follow any other. This is merely about using the rightful term of Merry Christmas at Christmas time. Give it up already!

Ridiculous! Cowardice has nothing to do with it.

just because the Federal government and most, although not all, workplaces close that does not make it a national holiday observed by everyone.

And your insistence that instead of using a greeting that respects different beliefs and observances, everyone should be somehow forced to acknowledge solely your particular holiday is offensive to those of us who observe other holidays that time of year, whether religious or secular, such as New Year's.

The TRUTH is you asked "Just what other holidays are there in December other than Christmas". NOT what other national/federal holiday there was in December so YES, you are whining because your question was answered and you don't like the answer.

And BTW, should I forget come December, Happy Holidays to you!
