Never been a supporter of organized religion but this Pope has demonstrated some real world humanity for people irregardless of their sexual persuasion.

Uhmmm... this concept (hate the sin, love the sinner) has been part of Catholic doctrine since the 5th century... courtesy of St. Augustine.

I don't care that Juan Carlos is gay and I certainly don't care that he got a pat on the head from the pope. Although if it provides a service and allows those religious zealots that are all too busy minding other people's business then good on the pope. But he really ought to be telling people to pay attention to what is going on their own house and not someone else's.

LOL! Protestants are not going to lose any sleep over what the Catholic Pope thinks.

The Vatican declined to comment on the pope’s private remarks.

So we have no idea if what he said to the gay man was true or not. That rather stinks. I think if the Pope really believes this, he should speak out to the world. There are a lot of things Pope Francis says that can be interpreted differently. He is rather wishy washy.

As for me, I accept gays as they are. They were born that way whether Crhistians wish to accept it or not. What I can't accept anymore is Christians who judge; and I can't accept the God that they believe in.

It's kind of funny that Southern Baptists align themselves with Islam on the issue of gay marriage.

Yeah -- not an official statement from the Pope. Not saying he maybe said it...but it's not the official position of the Church.

Most all societies have rejected homosexual behavior until this generation. Jesus said that the last generation would accept it, so the Scriptures are fullfilled yet again. Jesus is always right.
