Given that the anti-abortion folks seem to have little concern about caring for children once they are born, it is hard not to come to the conclusion that that this self-rightousness has very little to do with protecting children, and is more about looking down on others.

No links -- sorry I call bull on your story.

What I have heard from folks that have had abortions or support women having them is that it is the most difficult, painful, decision to make and few people make it easily
But it is their decision to make..

I agree that we need to openly talk about sex, the consequences, and abortion and that is how you influence society.
You are starting to see random characters in television dramas and sitcoms just drop the I had an abortion in the past line into the dialog. With the implicit message that she was just fine with the decision and it was such a good thing for her and society. Many think it is to clone what happened a generation ago when random gay characters started showing up. With the hope that public opinion can be turned back on the abortion issue as it was turned as it turned on the general acceptance of homosexuality first and now all forms of the sexuality spectrum.

The other is still struggling financially. She still has a relationship with her son but he blames her for how his life turned out.

Both say they wished now they had waited until the were older and in a better financial and relationship positions. One eventually married, but the other one has not. Neither had any more kids.

Now you can blame 16 year old girls for not making better decisions. They should have avoided sex, should have used more effective birth control, should have given the babies up for adoption, ... But there is a reason why car insurance is so high for 16 year olds.

Both are good women who had they had time to grow up, establish themselves in careers and decent relationships, might have been great mothers.
Did you ask their kids if they would rather have been killed in utero?

I would guess the answer would be no.

Links to back up the assertion that people "stop caring."

Links to back up assertion that becoming a mother is "punishing the woman."

When was the last time you saw a secular home for pregnant teens? Drives for food/diapers? Outreach to the community?

Perhaps if the PRO abortionists spent more time doing what they demand the "religious" people to do women would choose abortion at a lower rate.

But pro abortionists would have to believe that a baby is worth not killing. And that will be difficult to those wedded to the idea that abortion should be celebrated.

So keep pushing abortion instead of ways to help out in YOUR OWN COMMUNITY with the issue.

killing your own child has got to be a heavy burden to carry around with you for your whole life.

It's difficult not to reach that conclusion.

Paid maternity leave, funding for children's health insurance, support for affordable, accessible birth control, ... little support for any of that among the pro-forced-birther crowd.

Let's face it. Most of those pro-forced birthers would, in a NY minute, have made their mistresses or others terminate if the time or person wasn't right. Heck, they've been caught at it.

Now that we know, without a doubt, that such "pro-force" people approve of puzzy grabbing, cheating, every form of bullying, more wars, more debt and deficit and out kids being shot down in their schools, they have to come up with SOMETHING that proves to the "uneducated" as to why they are better than everyone else.

So they cling to "pro-forced" birthing even though they have absolutely no proof as to what their own "side" does and did regarding this.

It's like those little children who rant "ha ha, you can't touch me".....because this is one issue they can hide behind and most of us never know. For all we know, the very same people pushing "pro-force" have terminated many a life.

We all know that the same "side of the aisle" could care less about such life AFTER it if force born. After all, time and again when given the choice to act more civilized toward these "forced citizens", they say "hey, pee in a cup or we won't give you food stamps".

They also believe in having strangers paddle your kids in public schools (I'm willing to bet that the states that allow this align with the self-righteous "forced births"....

More reasonable people take the view that almost no one "approves" terminating a healthy fetus (it's really a last ditch method of family planning), we don't feel the long arm of the government should enter the puzzy.....other than King Trumps, of course!
