In other words, they charge for good shipped in, which increase their cost and discourages people from buying from the U.S. We don't so it doesn't discourage us from buying from them.
UK VAT (Value Added Tax) is a national sales tax on everything sold in the UK whether or produced domestically or imported. It is not targeted at imports any more than Texas sales tax is targeting imports.

U.S. dairy exports to Canada are FIVE TIMES HIGHER than dairy imports from Canada.

Canada imported $557M from U.S., exported $113M, so U.S. enjoyed a net trade surplus of $445M.

Default President Refuses to Sign G-7 Statement; Insults Trudeau

President Refuses to Sign G-7 Statement; Insults Trudeau

Another proud moment for Trump. I did not vote for him, bu he shows his stuff. He does not need or want a joint communique with countries that have for centuries shed people to the United States. He does not tke a supplicant posture, unlike his predecessor.

Now on to Singapore and more greatness for our country!

Also note that the US has TRQs (tariff-rate quotas) that put quotas and tariffs on imported milk.

Does being a total assh--- to our allies rise to a "high crime and misdemeanor"? I think it does.

Trump is friendlier with Putin and Kim Jong Un than he is with our European allies. What an insult to our WWII veterans.

Trump is the single biggest embarrassment in the history of this nation, bar none.

He had no need to pal around with the "all take, no give" European countries. He has serious things to talk about with Putin and Kim Jong Un.

Trump has been played. Nothing he agrees to is worth the paper his name is on.

Because a politician showed his country that he will stand up to the child like President. Trump says nah, nah na,na.nah I am going to take my signature away.

Child like.

This should help with NK. Nothing he agrees to is worth anything.
