Back in the 1970's my husband's aunt and uncle lived next door to a German couple who fled the Nazis. No they were not Jewish. In fact he was a Scientist who worked for the Third Reich.
What happened? His neighbors overhead him and his wife criticizing the mistreatment of Jews. They reported him, for not being a loyal German.
Unlike the refugees we have today coming over the Mexican border, this man had something America needed and wanted. Science that the Nazis were working on. Think he had any trouble seeking asylum in America??? What did Trump say about wanting the "right" kind of immigrant to America?
I had very long talks with this man. He described from the beginning stages how it all started. Free speech was the first thing to be quashed. National sense of pride against all others. Incite the public against a common enemy; Jews. Think about this. Make America Great Again. We don't need any foreign allies because America alone is great. Mexican migrants are our enemy, and starting to be, "Liberals/Democrats". Are we next the next group to be targeted? "You don't like it, leave this country".
You only have to read comments on here to understand the fanatic cult beginnings, as even one Republican Senator has called it.
Keep dreaming. Totally different situation and circumstances.
Nobody wants to shut you up. Lot's of people want (including me) to be able to freely disagree with you, not silence you. There is a huge difference between the two. Those who believe in personal liberty as I do want you to be able to hold the most absurd notions and hate us as much as you like. We don't believe in mind control or social engineering. That's hardly Nazism. We believe in free thought and discourse, assuming you guys don't attempt to take it any farther than that. Mainly, what we loathe the most is you libs trying to tell us how to think and what to believe. That doesn't fly for us. But again, it has nothing to do with wanting to silence you. Just don't think you are going to silence us, and we will all be fine.
well considering the national socialists (Nazi) were leftists, and their policies have been repeated by the liberals... its easy to compare the liberals, Obama, hitlery to the Nazi's of germany
It’s the other way around unless you like rewriting fascist history.

No one wants to silence anyone, however policies can and should be vigorously sound out. Especially moral matters that take from our country’s account of good will and moral standing- you know the account our greatest generation so painfully paid into.
I'm just saying that it's wrong to say most people were stupod enough to vote for President Trump when Hillary had the popular vote. Unless you're saying that the election was rigged and Hillary actually had less votes.
And here is one of the problems.
hillary won the popular vote. So what? we do NOT elect by the popular vote.
They just can't get over that hillary lost, even with all the cheating they did, and Trump won.

You lost me at Free Speech. Lefties are working extra hard to destroy Free Speech on college campuses, and have been doing so for years.
I just have to laugh at those who compare Trump or the Republican Party to Nazis. In fact, bringing up Hitler and the Nazis with regards to American politics is absurd.
That being said, if anything, it is the Democratic Party that is on a path similar to that of the Nazis, with the two platforms, other than antisemitism, being very similar.
The Nazis supported and advocated for a strong central government with huge government spending, strict control of private ownership of guns, censorship of those they dislike and so on could be construed as being Nazi like.
However, there is almost nothing in the Republican platform that could be confused with former Nazi ideology. Is controlling one's borders via laws on the books Nazism?! I guess that is the left's definition.

False. Gun control and eliminating Free Speech are VERY predominant Nazi beliefs. Seems you need to learn what really happened in Nazi Germany. It wasn't right-wing. It was gun control, anti-Free Speech left-wing ideology.

That be Trumpism
ANY regime that subjugated the individual to benefit the collective is fascist. Democrats are quite heavily involved in doing so.
Fast fact: The word "fasces" is the root word of fascism. It means "the collective." NOT a right-wing thing.
