Do try to keep up. It's a reply to another poster. If you can't follow that simple exchange, it's no wonder you can't follow the going-ons of the Manafort trial.

So I was privy to several of the conversations between the FBI agents who tried to convict Stevens I can't tell you how but they were toasting the fact that they were sure he was going to be convicted.

Another pop tart?

You'd have to be quite naive to think this has nothing to do with Trump or Russia. After all, the income in dispute is RUSSIAN money.

Now, if you think everything in the universe happens by accident...then you have a point. But we have millions of years of evolution in our minds and bodies which gives us reason and logic. Use it!
But this trial isn't about Trump or Russia. It's about bank and tax fraud. This is completely different from Mueller's investigation. Follow what's actually going on in the trial and the charges

If they see Gates as a criminal, they will necessarily see Manafort as a bigger one.

Yeah, right !!!!!! This trial is a precursor of things to come. A stepping stone. When Manafort realizes he is going away for a very long time, he will be saying "Oh s*** ! Time to make a deal and tell them everything I know about Trump."

If you have ever watched how they get to the top guy in any mob, it is by nibbling away at the little guys below, and one by one, they all save their own butts by ratting on the boss. All of them, Manafort, Gates, Cohen, etc know Trump has no loyalty to any of them and would run them over with the bus to save his orange skin...…….so they will return the favor in spades.

Chance of a pardon about 80%. We do have a pardoner in chief in the white house. My guess is Manafort won't be spending much more time in prison. Not saying it should happen but it would not surprise me in the least.

You really think Manafort is trying to protect Trump? Why would he do that? Trump's already dumped Manafort...if Manafort had anything serious on Trump it would've leaked by now.

This is what is actually going on. Mueller is building a foundation for larger cases. The September trial is going to get a bit closer to Russia and the campaign and will be more intense, and when the rest of the indictments are unsealed, you will be able to see what has been going on all this time when everybody was screaming for Bobby to hurry up. He's been at his desk plowing along.

Kilmnik was indicted by Mueller in June.
