Libs have been saying Trump ruined America and or the world the day he was inaugurated.
Hard to take them and their “sky is falling “ hysteria seriously .

Remember the meltdown on Election Day 2016? It’s been like that every freaking day .

There never was an American dream. Some people in the country are winners and some are losers. I think the myth of work hard and obey the rules and it all ends up well, is what has recently reverted to everyone for their own.

Trump is a response to millions of people who will be the new losers, trying to turn the tide. But it's too late. Trump is really trying, he's giving it all he has.

But we've let too many people in and the globalists have already put the gears in motion. There is no going back now.

The American dream has a definition and I don't think it includes:

More suicides
More opiate addicted people
Stable or lowering life spans
Obesity epidemics
Mass Shootings which set new records - often of CHILDREN in their schools.
and the like...

You can try to make it fuzzy, but there are ways to measure happiness - which is really the basis of the American Dream. Some of it is lack of stress....not possible when medical bankruptcies are soaring and people have student debt for a large part of their lives.

Are you sure yours is different? Is it sustainable and good for the country, world and people involved in it.

I lived my American Dream - no complaints. But I don't close my eyes to what is around me. If the American Dream involves scapegoating others who don't look or speak like white people...well, then, Trump HAS given it back to many. But I thought it involved prosperity and happiness and clean air and water....and blessings to our posterity.

Oh, we were ruined long before that.

Reaganism...that is, outsourcing, trickle down, tax cuts from debt and deficit and the idea that "thinking positive makes it so" were one part. Bank Deregulation was A BIG PART (S&L CRISIS under Reagan-Bush, then Great Recession). Wars based on false pretenses...that go on forever. Racism that the country just can't shake off. POTUS being picked by the SCOTUS....

Lots of other stuff - but Trump didn't ruin it. He's just pushing the cart harder down the hill.

Liberals claim the american dream is dead except when it comes to illegal immigrants. Then America is a paradise Utopia borderless country accepting of all, with no inequality, poverty, or discrimination whatsoever,.

Makes sense.

Oligarchs own everything, including the politcians. The majority of the people have nothing. Just like Europes old Feudal societies.
Few want extreme socialism. But our extreme capitalism hasn't worked that great either. The greed!

So maybe a mixture of both would be best and it would need to be tweaked to either side every once in a while. Don't know if it can ever happen because this country has been a mess for some time. Trump only took advantage of the mess we were in.
