This will turn out to be a stain on DPD--and further exacerbate the tension between LEOs and minorities--but also others who can see a mistake like this happening to them...my son and his wife live in Dallas. It is not unreasonable to fear something similar happening to them...

From the fact that the District Attorney's office was upset at the way Texas Rangers interfered and the charge returned, I think the DA thinks there is a coverup happening....
I wish the DA would investigate...
Good points. I lived in the DFW area for 25 years and still have friends and family there. They feel the same as your son and his wife.

Crooked/incompetent law enforcement is not good for any of us.

I've been thinking about her trial and I don't even know if she can get a fair one. I live in Dallas and the entire county hates her. If I get called for jury duty, I'm going to have to recuse myself because I think she's guilty.

LOL, stop with your b.s. You're being more ridiculous than ever. Posters know both of our histories. You can spin it any way you like, but they know what I've posted and we all know what you've posted.

The jury doesn't determine sentencing - the judge does.

She admitted she committed murder under Texas law. The question is whether she has a defense.

True, but I already think she was reckless.

In Texas, the defendant has the option of having the jury decide the punishment.

I notice you dodged my question and go to your usual virtue signaling.

What do you think she is guilty of and why do you think she's guilty.

So far I think she's probably guilty of criminally negligent homicide.

Manslaughter, I think she acted recklessly that night. I also believe she was incompetent and never should have been a cop.
