I found it strange that there's no crime scene tape.

She must have gone at least a few steps into the apt before shooting him. Otherswise there would be blood on the mat and/or it would have been taken for evidence, right?
Or maybe I've just been watching too many TV cop procedurals.

Very hard to describe. If you can't clear cookies, try this link: https://dallasnews.imgix.net/1536424...format&frame=1

Her name is Amber Guyger, she was "involved in a previous shooting incident" which I suppose is a nice way of saying she's shot or murdered someone else. And there are photos of her at various drinking establishments, apparently she liked to have a good time. Bet she knocked back a few drinks when she committed these crimes and that would add a charge of public intoxication to the other crimes she already committed - breaking and entering a residence and murder.

Since this is an apartment hallway and the residents have to be able to get to their apartments, maybe that's why the hallway isn't taped off with crime scene tape? It does seem interesting that whoever posted this pic of the front door had complete access to it less than 48 hours after the incident. You'd think someone might be posted at the elevator to keep lookyloos out.

In no way am I trying to excuse or justify what she did but the previous incident involved her shooting a meth dealer who wrestled her taser away during a struggle. She shot him in the abdomen and he survived, it was completely justified. They've also reported that she had just gotten off a 12 hour shift and she worked late due to a late arrest she had to process so it doesn't sound like she was chilling at a bar hammering beers. The video of her shows her still in full uniform.

It really does seem like she just screwed up and went to the wrong floor. That doesn't change the fact that she should be held responsible, she should have already been arrested and charged with the death of this young man. Adding on unfounded accusations does nothing to help this case or bring this woman to justice, she done plenty enough to spend time in prison.

Well, all she has to really do is say when he opened the door they argued and he “acted aggressively” or something like that. It will muddy the waters just enough, and she’ll get off.

Wouldn’t be the first time.

How did she enter the apartment? Was the door unlocked and she just walked in and shot him?

This is just bizarre, never seen anything like it in my life. Even if I had the wrong key, even if I had management open up the door to the place I think is mine, I would still recognize the place isn't mine upon entering it.

No cop can be this stupid, it's impossible.
I think this case should be treated like any person entering an apartment and killing someone. Why should she be given deference because she's a police officer? She was off duty, she entered the wrong apartment and killed someone. It really doesn't matter if she was an officer or a grocery store clerk. Would a grocery store clerk only get 24-36 months for entering the wrong apartment and killing someone?

Sounds to me more like you’re wanting a riot.
