The cost of U.S. healthcare, considering that 1) the U.S. is/once was once of the wealthiest countries in the world; 2) the extraordinary level of waste from the current system.
Who in the h.ll would design a healthcare system that would exclude pre-existing illnesses? That would be so prohibitively expensive that many of the neediest -- the poor -- couldn't even afford it?
The U.S. healthcare system sucks pond water. In the Americas (N, S, central and the Caribbean basin), Cuba has the lowest infant mortality rate of all the countries. And they are able to achieve that outcome with their economy and far less healthcare dollars.
So yes, the current system is a violent crime whose victims are the American public. Having worked in healthcare for over twenty years, I think I know the system.
1. My "like" of your post was accidental.
2. Nobody would EVER be charged with a hate crime for harming a straight, white, christian male; even if the attacker plainly and publically said "All straight, white, christian males must suffer!"
Whether or not it would happen is irrelevant... the laws still protect everyone, and according to the FBI you are wrong anyway. Approximately 20% of recorded hate crimes are from an anti-white bias, and 7-9% were anti-Christian. Considering the actual hate biases that exist, this is actually higher than I expected.
I was responding to your comments, yes... but nowhere in my post did I say you’d forgotten what those days were like. I just said it’s amazing how we (all) survived before cell phones!

How did they not see that mandating insurance coverage for participants in for-profit healthcare markets would open up opportunities for fraud, waste, and abuse?
Abortion.
Eminent domain.
Civil asset forfeiture.
Executing people in December. If we're going to have the death penalty, don't put people to death at Christmastime.
No company is taxed on revenue. They are taxed on the profit they make. Anybody who has spent more than twenty minutes on a church finance committee knows how much money goes through the place. And, trust me, it ain't lining the pockets of our clergy either. For every megachurch you see on the news, there are 10,000 more that are shoestring operations, barely taking in enough to keep the lights on.
That's the point of only taxing them when they make a huge amount of money
But based on your logic, since 80% are very poor, we shouldn't tax the ones that make millions every year
There should be federal regulation of homeowners' associations.
You bring up a good point.
Outlaw home associations.
