We need all of those things.

The question is whether the Democrats will even allow it at this point. They are the illegal alien party.

It would hurt in that its wasting money that could be put towards things you suggest, visa reform, business hiring reform, etc. Border crossings are no longer the major way it happens, so focusing this hardcore on it first with something like a boondoggle wall is asinine.

Same thing that's happened with it in the 2 years since he was elected. Nothing.

Trump will continue to lie about it, just like he lies about Democrats wanting no borders and all that BS. And gullible GOPers lap it up so he can probably tell them the wall exists and it's invisible, just like the Emperor's new clothes, and they will believe that too.

Is this a trick question?

Gotta love the ongoing fear mongering rhetoric like this here "the United States as we know it cease to exist and just become a part of Latin America." A little humorous given the fact that just about all of New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, California, Texas, and western Colorado was once Mexico's...

I guess that's not wall enough, but either way, I really don't see any part of the United States becoming a part of Latin America. Don't you worry none. Trump is good at stirring this pot mightily, but fear not, wall or no wall.

Most of us knew Trump was blowing some real thick smoke when he came out with his wall that Mexico would pay for, and although we've had to endure the ongoing nonsense revolving around yet another bit of Trump fool's gold, the reality has not changed any. Let's face it shall we?

Please post a link where Trump said it would only cost $12 billion. All I have ever heard him say is that it will cost $25 billion.

Of course the RINO's in congress ignore Trump's requests. Is that a surprise to you? Without them obstructing everything he wants to do along with most all Democrats in congress it would have been built long ago even before Trump took office.
Of course it's only a matter of time before we begin to see the spitting of hairs about this sort of thing, but nonsense is nonsense regardless. The notion Mexico would pay for a wall was nonsense from the beginning, no matter when or how Trump supporters might now try to redefine what that all really meant then or means now.

I don't think Trump and his supporters think in terms of practicality. Seems its mostly about what is easiest to visualize and rally behind, like a flag or rallying cry. Reality, however, is that people from other countries, including Mexico, can simply apply for a tourist visa and come to the United States that easily, wall or no wall. Once here, to be tourists or earn a little money or visit family, what prevents them from staying illegally?

Wall or no wall?

There are two categories of U.S. visas: immigrant (permanent) and nonimmigrant (temporary). The permanent visas are issued to people applying for green cards and make up about 5 percent of the 11 million U.S. visas issued in 2016. Among the nonimmigrants visas, there are 81 categories...

IF that's true, you can't separate it from his promise that Mexico would pay for it.

IOW, we're going to see Republicans reaping what Mitch McConnell planted when he vowed to obstruct Obama's every move before he even knew what they were.

From a political standpoint, it will help Trump to keep this issue alive in 2020 to hope it energizes his base to come out and vote him.
