The poll worker was uneducated apparently. After you vote, they give you the "I voted" sticker which has the flag on it.

How warped and out of touch do you have to be to say that displaying an American flag is now "campaigning"?

So the polling places that display an American flag in California (as required by the Election Commision) are now doing it illegally???

Hate-America liberals are descending into new depths of insanity.

Yeah, the integrity of our voting system is pretty important.

I don't see why wearing a t shirt has anything to do with integrity of voting system. Just because there are existing rules doesn't mean they are necessary or even reasonable.

Nobody needs to listen to this old hippie political fashion police wannabe. I am glad he is now gone.

I said the poll worker was wrong. It happens a lot when you work with volunteers, I'm sure some poll workers with different political views have made errors too (actually I KNOW).

Then I am guessing you are not a lawyer!

(and again.... you can wear a shirt with a flag, that is not considered campaigning)

It was ONE GUY at ONE polling station. A volunteer.

"Officials say the volunteer poll worker will be retrained if he chooses to work in future elections."

NOTHING about a "policy" or wearing the flag.

I said, just because there are existing rules, doesn't mean these rules are necessary or even reasonable.

For example, the voters cannot wear the t shirt with their candidate's name on it, I don't think this RULE is necessary or even reasonable. It has nothing to do with me not being a lawyer.

Did I say this rule should not be followed? No I did not.

I said rules are rules I get it. But these rules are unnecessary and unreasonable.
