Its that time of year when package delivery is at a high, many times the delivery guy just leaves the package at the front door with no security, this season i've had 2 Xmas packages stolen grrrr. Although Amazon is pretty good at resening merchandise its getting too late for those packets to arrive before Christmas.

Numerous threads on this topic. Have you considered getting a "ring" brand doorbell? Maybe a locked drop box on your porch (if you have one?).

Best of luck.

If you live in Suffolk County Massachusetts (Boston area) -- it's perfectly OK to steal packages or anything else according to the new District Attorney who takes office on Jan 2.

Theft is fine, shoplifting is fine, walking restaurant tickets is fine ... as long as it's less than $250.
She won't prosecute.

I have to wonder-where can you buy those "exploding" dye packs the banks plant in the event of a bank robbery?

Fill a high end labeled box with Dog waste and leave it out for the package thieves.

Jambo, I recently saw a story where a seasonal UPS delivery woman was texting her accomplices the address as soon as she dropped off certain packages and they would swoop in and steal them. Police departments sometimes will set out bait packages with tracking devices at homes that are repeat victims.

Even when we are home we don't hear couriers - they just dump and run without knocking or ringing the bell.
We have a camera, and also set up a temporary "wall" (sideways wood board) that deliveries can be put behind & out of sight.

UPS workers are overwhelmed with the volume of packages during the holidays. They got no time to ring or knock. They are under the clock and every second counts. The seasonal workers are a lot slower then regulars since they don't have much experience.

Blue states I am sure this liberal DA sees the thieves as disadvantaged people. I am sure these poor individuals are down on their luck because of being kept down by “the man”, white people or the patriarchy. It is not their fault they are in the situation they are so they are entitled to your package. After all if they cannot steal how will they get their drugs?
