Nope - the Lawsuit is just like the one the same Union & Law Firm filed in 2013 against TeamObama.
It’s based on the Fair Labor Standards Act that says Federal Employees must be paid on time for work.
This Lawsuit is about the “essential” employees that are working now .... filed on behalf of the largest Federal Union of 700,000 Federal Employees.

They won the earlier Lawsuit and even got Double Pay as the District Court ruling.
This is a massive Boondoggle.

Government reply (since they can’t pay during the Shutdown - should be:

To get the money to pay the Court case, we will NOT pay the Involuntary Furloughed Employees.
Leftists think is some sort of Game.

Keep in mind that they are not really filing a Lawsuit against President Trump ... it’s the Citizen Taxpayers that are being sued to line the pockets of Lawyers, Unions and Trump Haters.

But Trump's idiocy will not.

He's a coward, and he quite obviously is not looking for any resolution. He cannot make deals unless he has the total advantage, so he can think he 'won.'

If he cannot be in control, he's terrified of losing. Reaching out to the Dems--he might be ignored--even worse. What he doesn't get is that they don't need him.

So he can lie about being in the Oval Office all he wants--nobody believes that he is in the WH working--they know he's binging on Fox News. He is so clueless--he didn't realize the marine sentry at the WH is a dead giveaway he's not in the Oval Office.

How would YOU like to go to work for an indeterminate amount of time with no paycheck, and no expected date when you would get one ? Easy to be so cavalier when it isn't you not being paid, isn't it ?

I think McConnell knows what will happen. The Senate will have to deal with this after the House passes a bill. He's not bothering now because he is aware this will land in his lap next week, and he will be forced to be involved. Why waste his breath now?

You quoted me but didn't answer my question

If Trump wants to do a deal, what is he offering Democrats in exchange for his wall?

Surely Trump is a smart enough business man to know that he won't get anything unless he offers something.......................RIGHT?

Trump Digs In, Darkening Hopes for a Deal to End the Shutdown
What did you expect him to do, announce that the deal would be accepted on a certain date?
Trump is not Obama, who did just that. Only Trump knows what he is thinking - the Dems are going to have to make offers and see how much he moves the goalpost.

Cause = tump's big ego want a big phallic symbol to himself (concrete wall logistically impossible across southern border).

Effect = American citizens punished because the narcissist in the white house is an idiot.

Because he's a toddler having a tantrum over not getting his way. No one wants to pay for his boondoggle which will be about as successful as the 'Trump University".
