I thought the Dems were all about the humanitarian aspect of the "migrants" ? Where is the humanity forcing people to take a dangerous journey and dragging their kids along with them? A wall would stop them from trying and put them in a spot where they could be safe and receive care.

But then again the ones that are risking their lives and trying to bypass our border security know they are breaking the law and that doesn't matter to them because they know if they are caught there are very few penalties for them.

What is happening at the border and happening to our country is not a joke.
Liberalism is a mental disorder. The problem with that is that Democrat decision making affects rational people. Their little followers would much rather we have no secure border while Trump is in office. They couldn't care less for the safety of American citizens.

Then he can shut up and stop demanding that US taxpayers foot the bill.

Re-open the govt, ya big orange fool. Do yer job, ya lazy bum.

True (thanks John McCain , who lied to his constituents...running his last campaign touting support of repeal, and then betraying his constituents), but that doesn't make my post that you quoted any less true. If someone analyzed all of my posts they'd see that people wave that 'entire congress' banner re discussions of lots of different subjects...not just the ACA, and that, in reply, I make the point that I did in the post you replied to when lots of different subjects are being discussed, not just the ACA.

We bust drug mules East of San Diego all the flipping time. They'll even come across using the pct.

Right. Mexico is paying for the wall. So what's the problemo? Maybe it's the fact that "Mexico paying for the wall" is total BS.

Most drugs come into the United States across the southern border with Mexico. But a wall would not limit this illegal trade, as much of it travels through legal borders or under tunnels unaffected by any possible physical barrier. Even if the wall could curb illicit drug trafficking, it would have a minimal impact on the death toll from drug abuse. Prescription drug overdoses claim more lives than cocaine and heroin overdoses combined.

Fentanyl comes mostly from China - by post or inside things deep inside the thousands of daily containers shipped here.

It's the #1 killer in the drug world, I think.

Prescription deaths are complicated since they are often the result of mixing such with booze and fentanyl, etc. - if you limited it to just accurately prescribed drugs it would likely be much lower.

But the summary is still the same. You could build a solar glass 50 foot high wall and it would not stop one drug OD nor change the availability. You can get enough Fentanyl in one suitcase to feed 10's of thousands for months or years.
