That's kind of why they have an investigation. Notice the word "publicly" in there also.
If there's evidence, you don't need an investigation. You just make an arrest.
In the Marxist mind I'm sure that's the way they think it works and act accordingly. We have, or are supposed to have, a different system base on rules and laws.
Evidence is what leads to an investigation and then arrest where there has to be enough for a Prosecutor to take it to court. The lead investigator is quite often the witness called to testify as to the evidence. Without an investigation, investigating the evidence, that witness is kind of useless.
The judge and jury convict on evidence, or should, and not on the thoughts of a person with no evidence to support it. Evidence confirmed by investigation of it.
Its not enough, for example, to say we found the defendants DNA if that DNA isn't put through the investigation process to determine if it is in fact the defendants DNA.
Its not enough to think something in wrong.
That's especially true in the political arena where we see what happens ends up a witch hunt, for no other reason, but someone lost an election. Or someone unexpected won and the full force of gov. is used against them with the goal of changing the results of said election.
No, whether it's true or not it's a matter worth investigating.
I mean c'mon if all the collusion stuff is indeed true, would he be acting any different than he is? Destabilizing NATO. Backing out of Syria to leave it and Middle East influence to Russia and Iran. Praising totalitarians. Etc.

Trump was so obsequious to Putin during that Helsinki meeting that a woman with walnuts for eyes could see what was going on.
His behavior on the campaign trail was puzzling to many at the time. Calling on Russia to hack into an American's personal email; constantly praising Putin and refusing, at any turn, to criticize him.
His behavior in Helsinki was outright traitorous and the day after spin was pathetic to try and cover it up.
Overwhelming evidence Obama was partnering with Putin to weaken the military, divide the country, allow putin to annex crimea, didn't cross his red line because it would upset putin. Defended putin in a debate, reneged on missiles promised to Poland, because it would upset putin. Defended putin in a debate with Mittt. Sold putin 20% of our uranium supply and secretly signed a permit to take the uranium out of the country. Never mentioned Russia was messing in our elections. Even said our elections cannot be hacked. Warned candidate trump not to challenge the election results, it would be unpatriotic.....until Hillary lost and then it was all about the Russians!
