‘Medicare for All’ Would Cost $32.6 Trillion Over 10 Years, Study Says

Washington (AP) -- Sen. Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for all" plan would boost government health spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years, requiring historic tax hikes, says a study released Monday by a university-based libertarian policy center.....
And how much does the current system cost?

Explain your 32 trillion i absolutely dare you. (why because it has been disproven as nothing more than propaganda promoted by Koch boys and their flunkies )

That's actually slightly less than what we spend now on health care...

U.S. health care spending grew 3.9 percent in 2017, reaching $3.5 trillion or $10,739 per person. As a share of the nation's Gross Domestic Product, health spending accounted for 17.9 percent.

That never bothers idiot socialists since they use other people’s money to pay for it.

LOL. I pay more taxes then the average person does. Any more nonsense? In point of fact...I paid over twice the average last year since the average appears to be 10Kish for all taxes, and I think I was double that on my federal alone.

Of course there is. No, thats not why our costs should be higher. Those overseas folks are using the same drugs we are. Additionally its not like the US produces all of the drugs, or is the only country doing R&D. Thats a weird claim to make. That because the firms do the R&D here in the us....we should be paying twice as much? Really?

At least the procedure argument has a tiny bit of merit....except for the part where really they're only expensive at the very first, and most of us arent getting leading edge care. Heck, many of us are getting substandard care.

That's what we thought about Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders. Remember how that turned out? Never underestimate the ability of Democrats to vote for ignorant, unqualified candidates.

She did not compare ICE to the KKK. She was talking about people's perceptions of the agency.
She asserted that the perception of ICE was similar to the perception people held of the KKK in the last century. Sounds a little extreme.

As for Medicare for all. We pay for medical care now. It is not 30-40 trillion of NEW expenses. It is just a question of who collects the money and pays the bills - be it insurance or the government. The overall cost to society could very well be less if the overhead of private insurers is removed.

It is high time we get a national health care system that is affordable and open to all like the rest of the civilized world has. It need not be Medicare for all. I don't know that Harris is locked into that. It's a good campaign slogan but not the best idea IMO. Personally, I prefer a capitation system administered by private non-profit entities to a single payer.
