I see a lot of similarity here with AOC. She's currently enjoying her proverbial 15 minutes because she's still something of a novelty and 'new'. And so is trying to milk it for all its worth. It won't be long before the reality of her being a delusional airhead and people tiring of her (which some apparently already are) and she too, will drop off the front pages and go back to some mundane office job.
Re the bold: From your keypad to voters' brains, I hope!

What is so scary to me, though, is how many supposedly intelligent and experienced Democrats have supported her. (I'm not so sure they are still supporting her, though.)

I'm no fan of them Bible Thumpin' Froot Loops either. But I just don't how see this schizoid cycle of tit-for-tat, fighting fire with fire pi$$ing match back and forth between both sides will ever end in anything but stalemate and possibly, eventually, outright war when one side finally decides they've had enough of the vitriol.

Any suggestions?

presidential hopefuls booker, warren, harris and gillibrand already endorsed aoc's "green deal" bill. Bernie did, too.

how do these progressives retract support for this bill without looking weak to their leftist supporters?

I don't see how people are laughing at her. Do you realize that 60% of existing animal species have been exterminated since 1970?

That is absolutely disgusting and represents a total failure of leadership, particularly since the US led the way. How can you be so ungrateful to your children that even now you would rather die eating cockroaches in your McMansion rather than live in reality and sacrifice to build a better future for the next generations to come?

There are less and less resources and more and more hands with the expectation of perpetual growth in a finite world. You do the math.

No one politician speaks for all Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians.

There are more who identify as Unaffilliated/ Independent than there are Democrats or Republicans or Libertarians.

What does one have to do with the other?

Not all Socialists are Marxists and not all Libertarians are nihilists. I get that. But when you say "build a better future", by which you really MEAN "everyone else needs to pay all my bills", not buying that either. Again, most people see through that ruse. Let's call a spade a spade here.

Fine. They can start. Lead by example. Seen Pelosis, Sanders, Gore's, and Feinsteins homes? I rest my case.

How can they stand or sit there?

Again. No one with their head on straight is believing their BS. If they want to lead and be seen as leaders, then (gasp)....they need to set the example. What are the odds of them living the way they are waving their fingers at everyone else?

Till they do this., they need to just shut up, butt out, and back off. Let the markets run their course.

We tried playing fair and we lost . At least this way it's a draw. Society will come around and put an end to it one day, but till then.

She has zero clue about all of the incredible engineering that is required to make this happen, that vast changes it would do to American society and the incredible staggering costs. People aren't hardwired for this type of change to happen so quickly.

Someone in the democratic party needs to get her muzzled as she's making a fool of herself and the Dems and she is also is literally handing a victory over to Trump in 2020.

How in the world is this 29 yrs old incredibly naïve twit getting so much air time. I can't believe ol Nancy hasn't smacked her down yet. She did sorta give her a jab yesterday, but man.
