SO, instead of addressing the birth rate issue, you just want to tax, tax, and tax some more?
If you notice, most if not all first world countries have a low birth rate, and the rate increases the worse the country is.
So, if your goal is to increase the birth rate, you are essentially setting a goal to make the US worse off, as that correlates with an increase in the birth rate.

We let immigrants in, so what's your point? Jobs are not going unfilled due to birth rates in the United States.
I don't want to pay for other people's kids' daycare. I had to figure it out with mine and now I am done. If you can't afford them, don't have them. That includes daycare.
Why not? We're paying a fortune for the Secret Service to babysit the toddler in chief.

Or will raise the wages, less worker supply, the wages drift higher, is that not what some people are advocating for?
And replacement rate at what level? 400 million? 300 million?
First of all, people with children get a tax credit, which amounts to nearly $5,000 per child. They also can take childcare expenses of their income. Free daycare would amount to a significant amount of money that a person without a child would not be "entitled" to. Kind of smacks of discrimination, if you ask me. Having a child is a 100% voluntary event. No one is FORCED to have a child, so since it is optional, I think the parents should accept the consequences of their actions.
$5,000 a kid? Where'd you come up with that. The childcare credit is 20% to 35% of up to $3,000 of child care and similar costs for a child under 13 which is $600-$1050. The child credit is $2,000 but it's far less than that for low wage workers because it is 15% of wages over $2,500, so a parent earning $12,000 a year would only receive $1500 rather than the full credit of $2,000.
To be honest, you should be glad people are having children, we can't support programs like Social Security with a declining population.
Perhaps those that cant afford to have children should wait til they can afford them to have them

also a terrible idea....people are not plug and play.
I am not sure childcare should be free, or that subsidies should stop at $50,000, but I think that any amount over something like 5% or 7% of AGI spent on childcare should be subsidized, and I think any child over 3 should be enrolled in free preschool even if their parents don't work.
Last time around Donald Trump promised us a free wall. Several idiots bit.
The wonderful wall is being constructed as we speak, be very thankful that it is. It will be paid for many times over by the astronomical saving due to repelling the illegal aliens that cost this country billions every year. Part of those billions are coming right out of your left wing wallet.
If only the people of the left were intelligent, then we would all be Republicans. There is still time, welcome to the good guys side,,
Free childcare is a Godsend for families that don't have non-working relatives readily available and willing, because obtaining it otherwise is so effin' expensive.
Those who can't afford to care for their children need to stop having them..!! Not that the nitwits plan has a chance to succeed, but it it did, those lazy folks will be popping em out in bigger numbers than they already do.
They can go to school and get a job if they want to have children, don't send me the bill for your kids you can't afford...
Europe has all of this stuff. We don't have any of it.
Pack your bag, make America great again...!!
