This is all on the Republican's watch.

We have to stop making them beg for funding for their care.

Remember, it was the Repubs who grabbed the flag and said, "Never forget!"

Now the GOP, who controls the purse strings, are turning their backs on 9/11 firefighters.

Disgusting. Shame on Trump, shame on Repubs in Congress.
Breaking NEWS !!!

We had an Election in 2018 and the Democrats took total control of the US House - not a single bill makes it out of Committee unless the Chairman of that Committee clears it. The Democrats hold the Majority of seats on ALL House Committees and Nancy Pelosi controls the US House with an Iron Glove and that Iron Glove is clutching the Purse Strings ..... which she wanted to open wide to give all her CongressCritters $4,500 raises. Ain't life sweet to be a CongressCritter!

So where was John Stewart Testifing today????? Yeppers .... right in the US House of Representatives in front of the Judiciary Committee -- that would be the same House Judiciary Committee that has ONLY one issue - Harassment and Impeachment of the President of the United States.

Even the Leftist Jon Stewart said he blamed the "fiscal hawks, those who would give tax breaks to Exxon and nothing to First Responders" ..... that's a pure Political Lie. He had to be perfectly aware that the Democrats control EVERYTHING in the US House .... which is where he brought his people to talk.
Perhaps Stewart is as clueless as the Media about what he says and who he says it to .... but, I doubt it.

He was deliberately misleading and so is every Media source that blames Republicans who have zero control in the Committee Meetings on advancing a bill or even passing a bill in the US House.

Clueless about what exactly? Maybe you should actually WATCH it before posting. He blamed CONGRESS. He said nothing about democrats or republicans. He said CONGRESS.

There have been hold ups on this before and it hasn't been due to a bunch of Democrats. The bill does need to pass through the House, but also needs to go through both the Senate and have the President's support to get signed. There is a bill in the House pending, we will see what comes from that. Co-Sponsors are about 3-1 Dem on this. Appears to have enough support to pass the House, but enough support to pass the House will not be enough.

Seems to me the Dems control the purse strings! Don't they have control of the House (where spending originates)?

This is one-sided. How come nobody has posted the testimony of Hannity or Tucker Carlson on this issue?
