Vaccines are mosty free in the UK, they are usually administered at the Local Health Centre or at School.

All childhood vaccines are free and children have regualar checks in relation to general health, dental checks, eye tests and hearing tests.

Tetanus and other such vaccines are also free, and the young old, ill and disabled receive annual flue vaccinations.

The only vaccinations you are required to pay for are some specialist vaccinations in relation to tropical diseases whilst travelling abroad, and even if you do pick up a tropical disease or parasite abroad the NHS will treat you free of charge on your return and have specialist hospitals and research centres.

Which vaccinations are free? - NHS

Hospital for Tropical Diseases - UCLH

I was actually shocked that we were not asked about our status, even though we were legal, we were here on a visa.

Every child can get them and for adults there are reduced prices.

This is the fact that the left won't tell you and the right is not clever enough to keep pointing this out.

I even know of some Americans who know about this fact and have or still abuse the system as there are reduced prices for some items, based on income. One person I know uses her W2, but leaves out her 1099 as the both combined makes her not eligible.

The amount of fraud in this Country is beyond ridiculous and could be eliminated to get health care for almost everyone, who chooses to have it. The person I describe voted twice for Obama but never signed up for Obamacare as not having insurance was cheaper and scamming the system with a W2.
There ae huge swaths of U.S. population that you can try to float your banana boat to:

Amazing when you consider those were started up by a British philanthropist who couldn't stand watching Americans die for lack of healthcare he took for granted with everyone having it for over 70 years in the U.K. "RAM was founded in 1985 by Stan Brock, a British philanthropist, actor, author, naturalist, cowboy and former TV host."

One day the blinders will come off and you'll be shocked as to how long and how badly you've been screwed over through your willful ignorance.

I simply do not get why Canada's or the U.K.'s systems are held up to special scrutiny and subsequent ridicule. Neither of those countries is grappling with the pressure for change that the U.S. is.

When building from scratch, eyeball all there is to see and build the best from the rest.
The ACA is a classic example of re-inventing the wheel. The wheel was round, it was already the right shape. We just needed to pimp it to our own tastes. NOPe, instead we got a wheel shaped like a triangle.
