Deniers do not want to pay a little now to halt climate change, well, be prepared to pay a lot more in the future. $400 billion dollars will be necessary to save coastal communities. $76 Billion in Florida alone.

To save the communities most at-risk -- cities, towns, villages, and hamlets -- the US would need to spend $416 billion for the construction of about 50,000 miles of ocean-bound walls and barriers throughout the next 20 years.

As the peer-reviewed science you so steadfastly deny has repeatedly proven, whether CO2 levels are 260 ppm CO2 or 400 ppm CO2, the sea levels are going to rise 3 meters to 14 meters and there ain't a damn thing you or anyone else can do about it.
So, go ahead and tax people to death and ruin your economy to lower CO2 levels to 260 ppm and then I can laugh in your face and say, "I told you so, because science said so" when sea levels rise another 3 meters to 14 meters anyway.
Here is a great op-ed from 10 years ago by a guy who ran for US House in my district. He unfortunately did not win; he lost to a liberal radio talk host in the D primary, who then lost to a GOP ex-sheriff (now retired) in the general. It's about the economy, not climate change, but the principle still applies. https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion...n-the-economy/

The hubris of presidential candidates who promise to fix the American economy if they are elected to the White House summons the image of legendary King Canute, who believed he had the power to hold back the advancing sea.
IIRC something like 40% of greenhouse gasses come from the burning of coal, and 40% of coal is burned by China. China is #3 in the world in coal reserves, Russia is #2, and India is #5. If Gov. Jay Inslee (climate change maven, lauded by AOC) is elected in 2020, he can hold up his hands till death, but he's not going to stop the advancing sea.
