AP News reports that Microsoft is entering the world of election security with the introduction of new open-source software called “ElectionGuard.” The name of the new software seems quite close to Microsoft’s partner NewsGuard, the browser extension bundled with the Microsoft Edge mobile browser that purports to be the arbiter of reliability in media.

In practice, NewsGuard has repeatedly verified hoax Russian election tampering stories as true while blacklisting multiple conservative news websites as “fake news.”

The next step in election tampering.

Funny, fake news sites that peddle conspiracy theories (breitbart and lewrockwell) are listed with an NBC affiliate also listed. The claims of tampering only come from the alt-right sites well known for peddling lies, rumors and conspiracies on a daily basis.

Don’t worry, Microsoft.

CNN: No, the presidential election can’t be hacked.

Well, I did pick from both sides of the Media spectrum, to see the bias in reporting.

Hope this clears it up.

Did this worry you when there were extensive stories about election-rigging to favor Republicans? With Bush, for instance? Remember Diebold?

CNN and MSNBC are not "alt-right" sites...

From your information, it seems that NewsGuard is doing its job properly and perhaps ElectionGuard will work the same. But it seems odd that a Trump supporter would regard the Military/Industrial Complex as being in opposition to their own political position. How does the most conservative element in our country, become the enemy of those who are the ultimate type of conservative, who favor a would-be dictator?
