Kiss your babies goodbye

https://theintercept.com/2019/07/06/...ness-ranching/

scientists warn that losing another fifth of Brazil’s rainforest will trigger the feedback loop known as dieback, in which the forest begins to dry out and burn in cascading system collapse, beyond the reach of any subsequent human intervention or regret. This would release a doomsday bomb of stored carbon, disappear the cloud vapor that consumes the sun’s radiation before it can be absorbed as heat, and shrivel the rivers in the basin and in the sky.
The catastrophic loss of another fifth of Brazil’s rainforest could happen within one generation. It’s happened before. It’s happening now.

................. thanks to liberalism and their zeal to "help".

Keep in mind that the deforestation of the Amazon is being done to a great extent to raise crops for ethanol, which is supposed to "save the environment" due to using less fossil fuels!

Liberals destroy everything they touch.

No worries- civilization will cease in 11.5 years, so we don't have anything to worry about.

Phew, I thought you were talking about Barbara Streisand flying her dogs 10,000 miles so they could watch her perform! What a relief!

I never got that idea of planting stuff just in order to make fuel out of it. It is a slap in the face of the hundreds of millions of humans that don't have enough to eat.

It is typical of modern humans, they have an unsustainable life-style, but at the same time a poor conscience. So they jump on everything that is falsely sold as being environmentally friendly just so they don't have to change and make sacrifices.

The new president of Brazil is a moron just like Trump. Bolsonaro deliberately enables the destruction of the Amazon and the environment in general just so that a tiny elite of the country can earn billions.
