Many Democrats are call themselves Socialists, so is it time they change the name of their party?
I think these two parties are too well entrenched to change. Instead, it would seem more likely to me that a splinter group would split off maybe under another name. That’s by far an easier path.

I'm in. Call me socialists. Just as long as you call Republicans Trump supporting racist.
I would like to see dozens of VIABLE parties in the USA so I can choose. Right now I feel neither the Republican or Democratic party represents me. I'm a White working-class man. The Democratic party has thrown my race and gender under the bus and Republicans are hell bent on making sure I work for peanuts, have no health care, and compete with Chinese labor (Trump being an exception and a nonOrthodox Republican).
Would love if there was a party that represented working class people in this country that did not pander to minorities - or a party that represented white working class people. I'd take either.
Watching the debates and news coverage proves Democrats are no longer welcome in the party because they don’t believe in socialist ideas... that’s why they may as well change the name.
I know this forum is pretty evenly split, so it’s interesting to me that the majority think they should change their party’s name. I feel bad the media has left them and are only adopting the socialists.
