Many people like Trump because he makes his opponents angry. Many people measure the kind of job Trump is doing based on how angry people who didn't vote for him get. Many people know President Trump is behaving like a petulant brat. Many know this and continue to support him in spite of (or in many cases BECAUSE OF) it. President Trump's behavior makes many people angry, and rightfully so. However, people getting upset pleases some of his supporters. This isn't just about Trump. We're in a culture war. It has become "whatever makes the other side squirm, do it".

He knows the world is onto him, so he struggles to put up a brave front, explaining away his many faux pas and blaming others around him for serious reversals, denying old friendships, etc.
He knows that if he loses the next election he can still be charged for his Federal crimes. This is a huge problem for a proud old man.
He is so invested in the ten year long Obama economic recovery that he is in a state of panic that the economy will tank on his watch.
He can see the rank and file Republicans are starting to buck on him, and in the back of his mind he knows he still might be primaried, exposing a lot of things from a Republican perspective he doesn't want talked about even while he defeats the challenger.
Trump's fits of rage are well known, combined with his intolerable vulgarity and his cantankerous refusal to listen to subject matter experts, he has the white house in chaos. If his stress level goes too high for any length of time, he will have trouble with pronunciation, trouble keeping his arguments straight and trouble with consistency of thought and policy ... and he's not getting any younger.
Yeah, that's not how Scandinavians roll, though. Serious matters are taken seriously, and egos should be checked at the door. We like to deal with facts and numbers, bluster and posturing indicates someone who can't back his/her position - be it due to lack of homework (tut-tut) or simply that the numbers aren't in his/her favor. No need to waste time on either one, is there?

There are independent countries with populations smaller than Greenland. Liechtenstein, San Marino, Monaco. Who is to say Greenland could not pull it off?

Anyone not drinking the orange koolaid should be eager to vote this spectacular failure out of office and restore a sense of dignity to our standing in the world.

It's not a difficult for said persons to grasp. Said persons just do not care. Many people are on board with Trump for several reasons.
1) Some people might relish the idea of America becoming an empire. To some, this is Trump "making American great again".
2) Because some people want to see people like you and me upset. Some people get off on people criticizing President Trump. When people who don't support Trump don't like what Trump is doing, some of Trump's most loyal supporters see that as a victory. Basically, it's "make the left angry".
The irony of it is that the very persons who seem to be on board with President Trump trying to buy Greenland are the very ones who see Puerto Rico as a burden and want it cut lose.
