You apparently aren't informed. They are military people, District Attorneys, Vice Presidents, business people, teachers, in addition to being in politics. They know the government, the law, have held jobs, and have honorably served the country. More than Individual 1 has ever done (Individual 1 has never even had a job, been to a grocery store, shot a gun, or even driven a car, I think...he's a privileged boy).
And not one of them has a gold toilet! So that's a plus!
Reminder: It was Trump who refused to work with Pelosi & Schumer on that, if you recall. They repeatedly tried to schedule meetings, and when they did have meetings, they thought they were close to a deal, but Trump went back on what he'd said. So "no deal."
The Republicans are now a party of total obstruction. This started with Obama winning, when McConnell announced in the Senate that their #1 goal, after Obama won, was to prevent him getting re-elected. That's it. That was their #1 goal. They became total obstructionists, and that's the way they still are.
Democrats believe in government and are more willing to work across the aisle. Because they understand that's how government works. The Republicans, OTOH, don't believe in a democratic government, so they are not inclined to compromise or work together w/the opposition to pass bills.
Put the crack down Sparky. Nancy and Chuck were never close to a deal. They don't want immigration reform. LOL
So what has Nancy and the gang accomplished since Trump took office? Oh, I know. It was Russia, Collusion, Kavanaugh smear, Stormy, etc. Now they've moved on to impeachment. Good luck with that.
Sadly I think it is true what others here have said about Harris...she is the consumate politician. She has clearlly deterimed a strategy for this debate - go for Trump and don't try to alienate other voterrs by attacking othrer Democrats. She isn't nearly as pricipled as some ofthe others.

Democrats are like Republicans when they are running for office. They'll say anything. But do not worry. There will NEVER EVER be open borders and no one is "pro" illegal immigrant. They may listen to the woes of the illegals and see if any of them are eligible for asylum but most will be sent back home.

she bothers me. i checked out of the debate after a little more than an hour, but up to then, Harris offered nothing but emotional rhetoric. does she have any plans, any strategies?
NONE of them, when talking about the large percentage of incarcerated african american men, talked about economic CLASS, opportunity, and the influence that has on a person's life decisions. This reinforced to me that the better leadership comes from a conservative viewpoint.
One of the candiates actually mentioned shortening sentences. Is there anything racist about "do the crime, do the time"? Just checking, because that goes across all demographic boundaries. Economic freedom does NOT, however. None even touched on the lack of opportunity some Americans face, especially those in economically challenged jurisdictions. Most of them on that stage are out of touch with reality.
