We were on the verge of civil war in 2016. The wage class was struggling to survive and ready to revolt. Trump gave a fair warning about the state of the nation, which was spun as his personal narcissism. His election and achievements in one term seem to be enough to restore common faith in democracy. If he loses, populist candidates can still get other seats, and maybe the presidency next time. We have probably dodged the bullet of civil war for a couple decades.

It isn't the patriots who are pleased with the job President Trump is doing, who have been taking to the streets killing and destroying. Those (Antifa et all) are adherents to the opposite end of the political spectrum

And, predictably, it will get many-fold times worse when Trump is re-elected. From there, how long do you think the rest of the nation is going to stand back and let these children throw their tantrum, burning, raping, assaulting, looting, murdering, etc, until they decide enough is enough? THAT is when the civil war will start. Decent people can be pushed only so far before they feel that their only choices are either to clean house or to lose their nation.

Personally I think you are confusing a few true anarchist of questionable political affiliation mixed with what may actually be a few far left radicals and finally a number of mostly everyday people living in poverty, addicts, the homeless and so on caught up restless, destructive activity. Even so, 99% or more of " the left" has nothing to do with any crime, looting or riots even thought that is the lie you want to perpetuate.
