The only wild card is the new UK variant that seems to have established itself in Florida. Genomic testing shows it was introduced in November and could be dominant by March across the US. But if most of the highest risk seniors are vaccinated by then, deaths shouldn't pass the peak we will reach in early February.

Still no way to sugarcoat the horror....500K dead by Mid February and 600K dead by June is pretty much baked in the cake at this point. If we can keep deaths under 700K by year's end, that's the best case scenario.

Anyone telling you we are in a decline for deaths doesn't know what they are talking about. Even with Desantis trying to suppress numbers..look at the charts man.

Logybogy was talking about national numbers. I have also heard reports that they have declined.
