Maybe she'll be next year's guest presenter at the Hip Hop Awards like the Jena 6 guys were last year.

Old people have always thought the "younger generation" was a group of disrespectful losers. Then that younger generation gets old and thinks the same thing about the new younger generation.

Sorry, but you think old people today acted like that when they were young 60 years ago? I don't think so.

Yeah, um. Vast majority of the "generation" you're talking about aren't like that. I will admit that a great deal of my peers (I'm a junior in high school as of next year) are uneducated, ignorant buffoons... but not like that chick is. It seems to me that the attitude now is "respect is earned." Just because you're in your 40's doesn't mean you have auto-respect anymore as it's come to our attention that age alone does NOT make one wise.

If that train had been filled with about 20 people from my school, in fact, 20 people out of one of my classes - we'll say my world history class, it's around 20 - there would have been ten people who just sat there, a couple of us sociopaths laughing at how idiotic the situation was and wondering what she was on, and eight kids telling her to knock it off.

A whole generation is not summed up by one subculture. A whole subculture is not summed up by one individual. Maybe everyone needs to remember that.

Respect is earned,it is why I give few younger people much as they do little to earn it.

Most come across as...well mildly retarded and unable to think or reason.

But they can text message.

Mildly retarded is an understatement. Such is why I refuse to talk to most of my peers.

Actually that was a poor description to use to describe most younger people.

Slack-jawed and apathetic about almost everything beyond the latest electronic trinket to keep them placated until the next trinket is released is a better one...

Some DO think it is true but the majority will simply float along through life sedated by drugs(both legal and not) working in jobs that are uninspiring and offer no advancement waiting upon life to get better, all the while never realising that only THEY can make their lives better.
