you crazy!!!!
a transient jus stabbed two cops with a syringe in LA the other day!!!
you go ahead and stand in front a tractor as you scoop a baby out the road or whatever, but the reality of URBAN living and urban transportation is that you must really secure your safety before doing that for anyone else. kinda like when you fly.
if i feel i cant secure my safety i aint jumpin into a mob fight.
i aint gettin in homegirls face just so that she stabs me in the neck with an HIV needle.
i aint doing none of that.
now if she goes for gramma, well ya i'll do what i can,
but this aint about cowardice
its about brains.
in this situation i woulda done the same thing homeboy did. grab that girl by here ratty ass weave and get her off granma. it didnt look like the most dangerous situation but you never know.
until you live urban reality its hard to say what you would do.
you size up the situation and do your best hoping they aint got something that will really hurt you.

be samrt not impulsive
Never said I don't think of the situation,I just don't stand back and watch.
As to the video the guy did nothing until the loony girl started in on HIM,he didn't give a crap about the old lady.
No you are simply one of the herd, most people are.
No need to take it personally.
aww, thank you for attacking me. I can make it through the rest of my day now.
you don't seem to understand that when you live in a city with millions of people, and you're a small girl like me, you have to watch your back before any body else. self preservation.
In your example, the woman was it seems threatening the driver....the man who was in control of YOUR life as you were riding on the bus...intervening in that situation would be looking out for yourself IF it warranted action.
If the woman had started attacking the driver what would you have done?

I'm a city guy and agree with you, the folks on the train were fine. This is only a story about one single loud mouth young lady who appears to me to be on something.

The herd mentality does seem stronger in urban areas and among urban dwellers.
