Okay... let's catalog and number the falsehoods in that OP:
1. None of the buildings collapsed at 'freefall speed."
2. The claim that the towers suffered "relatively minor damage" is absurd on its face. They were hit at cruising speed by jumbo jetliners for god's sake.
3. They were not designed to "withstand multiple air crashes." In fact the impact of an aircraft was considered nowhere in their design criteria. Some later calculations showed that they could survive the impact damage of a smaller, slower aircraft... and in fact, both of them survived massive damage for at least long enough for most people to escape. But no one had ever actually modeled the effect of an impact of this magnitude followed by fire on the integrity of any building the size of these three.
4. To this day, no steel skyscraper has
ever collapsed
solely due to fire. WTCs 1 and two collapsed because they were deliberately crashed into by jetliners, followed by fire. WTC 7 collapsed because it was collaterally impacted by WTC 1, followed by fire. All three suffered the
dual insult of massive structural damage and fire.
5. Not a single drop of "molten steel" was ever found anywhere at the WTC site. Not a single gram of "melted steel" was recovered from any of the debris. There was certainly molten and melted metal... mostly aluminum, lead and tin alloys. But no steel. And wood fires (let alone jet fuel fires) are fully capable of melting those other metals.
6. The buildings were
filled with flammable materials such as furnishings, wall paneling, stored paper etc. The claim that they were "relatively bare of flammable materials" causes one to ponder... relative to what? A barn full of hay and gasoline?
7. To the extent that they were "designed to isolate fires," those designs envisioned waste paper basket fires and cooking accidents... not the sudden and explosive distribution of thousands of gallons of kerosene across entire floors on multiple levels.
8. There has never been a single trace of any demolition system found anywhere in the rubble or wreckage of the WTC, and any demolition exercise of that magnitude would have left profligate evidence of its presence. To assert that there were explosives in the building is a pure unfounded speculation.
9. The "security company" to which Marvin Bush was connected was fired from their work at the WTC in 1998. More than three years before 9/11.
10. Bush left that company's board in June 2000... more than a year before 9/11.
Not bad... only ten Truther falsehoods in four paragraphs... not even close to a record, but it does honestly cause pause to consider exactly what standards the OP holds for believing in
anything.
